In Mark’s Words
The mortgage industry is unpredictable and the loan process is anything but streamlined (the good news is that I have job stability). Despite sounding cliché, every loan is unique and working with a professional makes all the difference. I’m not perfect (just ask Caroline), but that’s certainly what I’m aiming for when working with clients to meet their goals and achieve their dream. In all seriousness, my team and I work very hard to do the things necessary to earn your business and future referrals. I look forward to working with you.
I grew up in the Dallas metroplex (first Euless, then Colleyville, then Grapevine) and graduated from Grapevine High School in 1998. I attended The University of Texas in Austin and obtained a B.S. in Electrical Engineering – what a nerd! The “good news” is that about half way through the EE process I realized I didn’t want to be an engineer, so I extended my college career another year to get a Business Foundations degree. It was during my “victory lap” that I met Caroline, my wife, in a finance class – I’m still in her phone as “Finance Boy”. Caroline and I got married a few years later (2006) and then a few years after that we became parents to Emily (2010) and Allison (2014). I realize I left out some details but I don’t want to bore you too much.
As most parents can relate, my spare time is consumed by being a proud papa to Emily and Allison and a great husband to Caroline. I occasionally find the time to play some golf (though not enough), hunt (a little), and adopt random interests (like guitar or RC helicopters – no, they’re not “toys”). In our pre-kid years, Caroline and I dominated the intramural scenes of flag football, kickball (yes, kickball), softball, and even dodge ball. So if you ever need a fourth for golf or a ringer for a dodge ball tournament, give me a call.
