KeePass Password Safe is any free, release source, lightweight, besides easy-to-use password manager relating to Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, with ports for Android, iPhone/iPad moreover other mobile devices. The only feature I'd like to see what it in the current moment does not have is an decision to require some other KeePass password when settling on it from the Windows taskbar (after minimization). • lsmith999999 Edited 2024-08-20 I'm a maestro (C++) software developer with 35+ years of competence. I've been implementing this app for years and possess never had a single (known) problem. I also strongly value that those app isn't cloud-based like many of its opposing companies, which is always a potentially big security risk (no matter how often "professional" reviewers of cloud-based security apps often tout their safekeeping, main of whom aren't software developers or security experts). If you read this "professional" reviews of KeePass however you'll sometimes get hold of people who promote the strength of its security ("excellent") but sometimes criticize its arrangement. While on that site may be more "modern" apps around that can make the experience easier, case doesn't make the team more secure. This app is what the thing is and was customized a unbroken time ago. Expecting these author to redesign topic now would be ridiculous. It's zero necessary though. Particular outline does its activity and through what I've read (from crowd who should hopefully speaking know what they're conversing about), does subject very well (from a security standpoint). The design is also more as adequate and that's *my* professional (highly experienced) perspective (and save in mind that a password supervisor isn't something that most people are normally using all stretch long, like this browser or spreadsheet or messenger product - KeePass might be more unmanageable to work with than some other apps in spite of that it's hardly a showstopper when you're only using it every now and again - no enormous deal). Moreover, for those who know anything about software development, the application earnestly benefits from being next to for so long. It's reasonable far augmented stable now than most of its peers and that's what you hunger for in any piece of software, let alone one that deals in association with security. Most software is in a constant state of flux in fact, often rendering it untrustworthy. From what I've read this program has furthermore been independently audited and not at all major issues were found (and I've secured a quick look over the official findings myself). It's also apparently favored through the use of a lot in the case of reputable organizations. I'm not coordinated with this app during any way, and while I haven't independently reviewed all their endors****ts I've ever consider nor audited specific code in my own opinion (a large undertaking), take it from a soul who's been in the app development trenches for a overly long time. If reports touching on this app's solid security are in fact accurate, and I have no reason to expect otherwise along this time (but I without exception remain cautious), then it's something to be greatly valued in every digitalkey manager app. 2 users found this review helpful.
